By | Business | No Comments
MAUDE + MONTGOMERY  brings the soul of the Maritimes alive and allows you to take the maritime home with you no matter where you are in the world…

Featuring an incredible collection of curated Artisanal Gifts and gift boxes that offer a sense of nostalgia for east coast living. Simply beautiful items and gifts for everyone.
I recently received one of their signature maritime gift boxes and was floored. Everything from the way the box was made, the smell, the contents, I would 100% recommend checking this company out and getting one of these special boxes.
I have been working with Kerri and heather for a short time now and I am loving what they are doing with their brand and online business. The story is being told from so many different views and that is so cool

The artists, the owners, their customers, and ultimately how their customers use those special items and make memories with is bringing the MAUDE + MONTGOMERY brand to new levels. I am over the moon to be working with this company and I love how everyone in Atlantic Canada is helping each other and the community at the same time.
I urge you to check out their website and the items in their shop. The gift box alone for 25$ is a steal and is extremely well crafted. It could be used for so many things.

Specific items I really liked:

Sea Salt and Spoon  Used this to make a stew on the weekend and felt like I knew what I was doing with this special little ingredient and the stew was amazing!

Sea Kelp Soap  Some of the best soap especially for sensitive skin. I will be switching to this 100%.

Linen towels  Honestly, these make me look like I have a nice kitchen and that I know what I am doing LOL. They are very nice and made extremely well. I will be ordering some of these for the bathroom next.

Quiet Coast Candle– Love the smell of this. Light, and refreshing. I love the smell it put through the house.

The flowers…These were such a nice touch. I really enjoy all the contents sincerely and recommend checking them out.

Moosehead Breweries 150th Party!!!

By | Business | No Comments

Saint John is a very amazing place to live. There is a lot of history and tradition here. New Brunswick is proud to have Moosehead Breweries call this place home. For 150 years they have been thriving here and brewing delicious beer.

On the night of their big 150 party, I got an invite from my friend Cherise Letson, at Huddle and I went as her guest and it was super fun and I was honored to attend.

We arrived at Harbour Station, at promptly 6:45 for our shuttle and City Transit transported us to the Brewery. We showed up, and while in line, and obtaining our bracelets we got glow sticks, pretzel necklaces, beer cozies and a whole bunch of other fun stuff.

We got on the bus and heard lots about the history and about the evening ahead of us. We arrived at the Brewery, and the warehouse had been prepared for one hell of a party. Holy Macaroni!

The lights, from Duncan Electrical, were incredible as you can guess. Rows and rows of lights, disco ball, and band lights were spectacular. the whole place was electric.

The beer and cider options were plentiful. The snacks were abundant. There was no shortage of food or drink for anyone there. The food trucks outside also offered a vast array of options for folks to choose from. While on the topic of food, they supplied more Dominos pizzas than I could ever dream of eating in 10 years, this is not an over exaggeration.

The photo booth experience was the coolest thing. Being able to immediately have a photo of the experience as well as digitally on Ipads to share in the moment to your specific social media profile. We used the Hashtag #Moosehead150Party and we saw everyone’s photos up n the screen. Smoothest most fun, completely seamless photo booth I have ever used! So Cool! Cherise and I had such a fun time and I am so pumped she got me to go with her. The band and dancing was just the most enjoyable time.

The band WTFunk was splendid!

Seeing friends, clients, co-workers all dancing and celebrating this rich history was amazing, to say the least. I was honored to be a guest there.

We got on the bus near midnight, and headed back uptown and again, so thrilled to have been part of that celebration.

What a great party!

Check out the other photos I was able to grab and can show 😉 haha.

Cheers 🍻

LANDLINE

Sept 16th 4:20 PM

On Friday night a friend sent me a message asking me to take a spot in the production of landline and participate, I said yeah ok cool. I did not know much about it but definitely did not expect the outcome.

What I did know was that LANDLINE was a performance that would take place in two cities at once. I arrived to receive instructions and a map. We were instructed to wait for Dustin the creator of this production and he would then set us up with an iPod.

When I met Dustin, the overall vibe was really fun and I was super curious. He told me that there was one minute till the curtain would open and that the city was my stage. We counted down together, while his partner in Whitehorse, set up my new friend with his iPod and we were to hit play at the exact same time.

This project aims to use urban landscaping and audio to connect two strangers over text message.

It begins…

I opened the main entrance doors and exited the theatre not sure where to go first but was instructed to take a route less traveled, and so I did. It seems I did the entire time. Taking routes and paths I never take, intentionally.

From the first minute, this was a very emotional and intense experience. As the audio told me to look up at the buildings, to take notice of any birds, seagulls flew by and I got this really intense feeling.

We were told to start looking for a rendezvous point. The texts began..I met my new friend from Whitehorse as we were waving to things randomly but knowing we were both waving at the same time in a different place on the planet. That was super neat. What a feeling.

Our conversations got serious and sincere very quick. We walked and conversed, telling each other things. All sorts of things. We had various rendezvous points and times to showcase the city via photos and to let each other know where we were on each other’s corresponding map.

This to me was one of the coolest moments and experiences I’ve ever been part of.

As we scoped the city and chatted, we-we’re instructed to go back to the theatre, it felt so quick, I didn’t want it to be over. When I arrived back I had 30 seconds, and saw Dustin, gave him my headset and badge, very emotional, which was strange for me to express in public.

He brought me into the theatre for the final portion of the performance and I saw a chair and table, and behind it was a banner that said Welcome, in Whitehorse colors, there was food from Whitehorse there. And now he brought over a tablet, which had a mimicking image I could see, a chair, and banner that said Saint John, and then Scott and I met.

This was so cool. I did not expect this.
We had a minute to say anything else we wanted to say, to share a bite together and to decide to stay in touch or not.

To know that someone was on the walk with me, waving at things, being present in the activity was really rad. I would really do this again. I would really recommend this to anyone. Very intense, and an incredible way to meet someone.

Scott and I have been chit chatting since the production and I can now say I have a bud in Whitehorse, how neat is that!

Thanks for reading! I hope you get to meet someone like this, there is really nothing like it.
